Cavalier Puppies For Sale
It is our pleasure to introduce you to the royalty of the kennel – Our Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. The Cavaliers have quite a history behind them. King Charles II (who ruled England in the 17th century) was so enamored by the Cavaliers he instituted a law that said no Cavalier King Charles Spaniel could be barred from any public place, including Parliament(where other animals were forbidden). The king’s love of the Cavalier is why they are referred to as Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. In the 18th century, John Churchill (1st Duke of Marlborough) owned many red and white Cavaliers and referred to the coloring combination as Blenheim, named after his Blenheim Estate. In 1985 a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Rex was a Christmas gift from President Ronald Reagan to his wife Nancy during his 2nd term in the White House. So as you can see, inviting a Cavalier to join you puts you in a class all your own.
Let’s meet the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, shall we? Cavaliers are recognizable because of their large, warm, loving eyes and soft, silky coats. Brushing out their coat helps control any shedding the Cavalier may experience, and minimal trimming is needed. Cavaliers are intelligent and highly trainable. Cavaliers enjoy human companionship and have a friendly personality, making them an excellent choice for a 1st-time dog owner. Having a fenced-in backyard or keeping them on a leash is essential due to their hunting instincts. Once they are on a scent (especially of a squirrel, bird, or butterfly), the Cavalier warrants following it. Barking is very minimal and only when the Cavalier deems an emergency. Cavaliers have an average life span of 12 – 18 years. We work closely with our Vets to breed away from health issues, and it is our desire to provide healthy, happy lives for our parents and puppies.
